
TASTE TIME. Just in case you’ve been off on Mars, Taste of Chicago, with Emeril Lagasse bamming away, starts on Friday, June 26, in Grant Park. Here are the details.
HONEY POT. Chicago Honey Co-op and Slow Food Chicago host a benefit potluck supper with tours of the garden and urban apiary in North Lawndale at 6 p.m. tomorrow. Details.
PIG OUT. Baconfest Chicago, the brainchild of Michael Griggs, Andre Pluess and Seth Zurer, is still in the planning stages, but they’ve announced a date, Oct. 25, and a site, the Stan Mansion in Logan Square.
CHEAP DATE. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are BYOB nights, with no corkage charge, at May Street Market. The West Town eatery also offers a $25 prix fixe on those nights.
